About this tool

Changing one colour in a picture usually means opening a full photo editor. This tool does the common job in a few clicks: pick the colour in the picture, choose what it should become, and every matching pixel changes while the preview updates live. It works well for recolouring logos and icons, trying out a product in other colours, or fixing a background that clashes.

With "Keep shading and texture" on, each pixel keeps its difference from the colour you clicked, so folds in fabric, shadows and highlights survive the change instead of turning into a flat patch. Tolerance decides how far a shade can be from the clicked colour and still count, and softness blends the edge of the change so there is no hard outline.

Tick "Only the area I clicked" to change just the connected region under your click, such as one shirt in a group photo, while the same colour elsewhere stays as it was. The preview may be reduced for speed, but the download is always made from the full-resolution original.

This tool runs entirely in your browser. What you type or open is never sent to a server.

Frequently asked questions

Why did other parts of the picture change too?

They contain similar shades. Lower the tolerance, or tick "Only the area I clicked" so only the region connected to your click is changed.

Why does the new colour look patchy?

The original probably has a wide range of shades. Raise the tolerance a little and add some softness so the in-between shades blend smoothly.

Can I make a colour transparent instead?

Use the Remove Background Color tool for that. It turns a chosen colour transparent and saves a PNG.

Is the full resolution kept?

Yes. Large pictures are shown smaller while you adjust, but the download is processed at the original size.

Is my picture uploaded?

No. The colours are changed by code running in your browser and the file is saved straight from it. Nothing is sent to a server.
