About this tool
A watermark tells people who made a photo and discourages others from passing it off as their own. Photographers, shops and designers use them on previews, portfolios and product shots. This tool adds one in seconds, either as text, such as a copyright line or website address, or as your logo.
Place the mark in any corner, on an edge or in the centre, with a margin that scales with the picture so it looks the same on a small phone shot and a large camera file. Size is set as a share of the picture width for the same reason. For stronger protection, tile the mark diagonally across the whole image, which is much harder to crop or retouch out.
Add many pictures at once and every one gets the identical watermark, downloaded together as a ZIP. Each image is processed at full resolution, and JPGs, PNGs and WebP files keep their format unless you choose another. A semi-transparent white mark with a soft shadow stays readable on both light and dark photos.
Frequently asked questions
Can a watermark be removed?
A small corner mark can be cropped off or retouched, so it mainly shows ownership. A large, semi-transparent, tiled watermark across the whole picture is far harder to remove.
What logo file should I use?
A PNG with a transparent background, so only the logo itself appears. A plain white or black version of your logo usually works best at reduced opacity.
Does it reduce the quality of my photos?
The picture is kept at its original size. JPG and WebP files are saved at high quality (92%), which looks the same as the original to the eye; choose PNG for completely lossless output.
How many pictures can I watermark at once?
As many as your device can handle; dozens at a time are fine. They are processed one after another, so memory use stays modest.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Every picture is marked inside your browser and saved straight to your device, so unreleased work and client photos stay private.
